Box full of illegal drugs inside the house. Police of Burdwan police station arrested a person on the charge of illegally storing drugs at home. The arrested person’s name is Sauren Roy. Investigators raided Punjabi Para area of Burdwan city on Monday. Sauren Roy was arrested from the fourth floor of a residence. Two members of the State Drug Control Bureau reached the residence around 3 pm on Monday. They left around 8:30 pm. The police of Burdwan police station were also in this operation. DSP Traffic (2) Rakesh Chowdhury was present in the raid. Later that night, the police van left with the person named Sauren Roy. The representatives of the Drug Control Department also went out. Just said, many things have been found. However, they did not want to say anything more for the sake of the investigation.
According to police sources, Sauren Roy once had a drug store in Khosbagan in Burdwan. He sold that shop five years ago. The police contacted the State Drug Control Bureau after receiving information about the movement of the man from Burdwan police station. After that, the raid was carried out on the residence of Punjabi neighborhood. According to police sources, two representatives named Motahar Sheikh and Rajibul Alam were in the operation on behalf of the Drug Control Bureau.
